Hi folks,

Welcome to the first ever Tozzer Newsletter! We’ll be sending these out every month or two, to keep you guys up to speed about what we’re up to. As you probably know already, we make the Tozzer comic books, which generally take the piss out of Hollywood movies and celebrities. You can find our titles in book / comic shops all over the world, or you can buy them directly from us at one of the many expos and conventions we go to.

Talking of expos, we were selling our wares at the London MCM Expo a couple of weeks ago, and, as always, we had a great time. This show just gets better and better, while the attendees get freakier and freakier – and we mean that in a good way, honest. We’re talking cosplay here, folks. For the uninitiated, “cosplay” means “costume playing”. Movie, comic, videogame, TV and manga fans dress up as their favourite characters and walk around, revelling in their geekishness. It’s a beautiful sight.
At the MCM Expo, we were armed with the Tozzer video camera, knowing that the cosplayers would be out in force. The results of our filming are now up on YouTube. Over 1,000 people have already seen our little movie, but in case you missed it, please go check it out. We even persuaded the legendary Morgan Freeman to be the narrator, after his success narrating March of the Penguins. So here is...

We were supposed to be attending the Collectormania event in Manchester last weekend, but car troubles scuppered our plans. If you went to the show, we hope you had a good one. But hey, how about seeing us this weekend? We’ll be at the Memorabilia show in Birmingham on Saturday and Sunday. After that, we’ll be scaling back on the events for a while, as we focus on development, so if you want to see us before May 2007, come along to the NEC.

The next Tozzer book

Development, huh? Yup, it’s a sad fact of life that if we want to keep you people happy, we do actually have to create new stuff! Now that the script for the next Tozzer book is complete, Pete is working on the artwork.
What’s the theme of the next book? We're sorry, but we can’t say. All we can tell you is that it takes place in real time, and that Agent Jack Ass has 24 minutes to stop the bad guys before the whole world is destroyed. It’s gonna be a good one, and it should be out by the middle of 2007.
